GUACAMOLE

INGREDIENTS:

avocados
2
minced garlic cloves
1/2
medium tomato, chopped fine
1
green onion, white and green parts, chopped fine
2
sprigs finely chopped cilantro, or to taste
1 TBLS
Sliced Jalapenos (hot)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 BAG
tortilla chips
3 TBLS
freshly squeezed lemon juice
DIRECTIONS:

Peel the avocadoes, remove the pits, and mash. Add the remaining ingredients and mix together. Mash a bit more for a smoother texture if desired. Sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice over top to keep the guacamole from darkening. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to give the flavours a chance to blend. Serve with the tortilla chips.
